City of Thibodaux - City Office Closure: Christmas and New Years Holidays

In observance of the Christmas Holiday, City of Thibodaux offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, and Thursday, December 25, 2025. Normal operations will resume on Friday, December 26, 2025.
Also, in observance of the New Year Holiday, City of Thibodaux offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, and all day on Thursday, January 1, 2026. Normal operations will resume on Friday, January 2, 2026.
The Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium will also be closed to walkers on the aforementioned days. Pelican Waste and Debris will not be operating on Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25, 2025, and New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1, 2026. All residents normally serviced on Thursday will be recovered on Monday.

Today, Wednesday, December 3, 2025, the City of Thibodaux’s Public Works Department is repairing a water line on Canal Boulevard in front of the Thibodaux Police Department. The outside northbound lane of Canal Boulevard will remain closed until further notice, and motorists are asked to use caution in the area at this time.

In observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday, City of Thibodaux offices will be closed on Thursday, November 27, 2025, and Friday, November 28, 2025. The Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium will also be closed to walkers on the aforementioned days. Garbage will not be collected on Thanksgiving Day. All residents who have a Thursday garbage pick-up schedule will have their service resumed on the following Monday. Normal office operating hours for the City will resume on Monday, December 1, 2025.
