In observance of Independence Day, City of Thibodaux offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026. The Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium will also be closed to walkers on the aforementioned days. Trash collection schedule will not be interrupted. Normal operating hours for City of Thibodaux offices will resume on Monday, July 6, 2026.

- Traffic signal at the intersection of Jackson Street and St. Mary Street. Please use caution and treat this as a 3-way stop.

Entergy Louisiana will be completing resiliency pole change out work in downtown Thibodaux over the next few months. As requested by the City of Thibodaux, all work and planned outages will only take place on Sunday - Wednesday nights to accommodate businesses downtown.
Phase 1:
Anticipated construction dates: Tuesday, June 30 – Wednesday, July 1
For Phase 1, Entergy has 5 poles being reconducted 4 of which being replaced. These poles are located at the corner of Jackson Street and St. Mary Street. This work will take 2 nights to complete. Entergy will complete the work as well to back feed downtown Thibodaux to reduce the number of outages taken on phase 2. See picture below for poles being worked in during Phase 1.
Phase 2:
Anticipated construction dates: Tuesday, July 7 – August 25
Phase 2 is more complex with 41 poles to be worked and 32 of which are being replaced. Phase 2 construction will start July 7, 2026 with an anticipated in-service date of August 25, 2026. This work will be completed at night from Sunday - Wednesday to reduce the effect on the businesses in the downtown area with road closures and outages. Picture of all 41 poles below.
