The City of Thibodaux is working hard to prepare all parts of the City for the upcoming tropical weather event. Trash and debris can cause damage with high winds with the incoming weather, so please help limit the amount of trash left by the road. We appreciate everyone’s help in this matter.

In preparation for this upcoming tropical event, the City of Thibodaux’s Public Works and Parks Departments are removing debris and cleaning out catch basins. At the Public Works Barn, located at 1219 Henry S. Thibodaux Street, a self-fill sandbag station will be open to residents starting today. Residents should bring their own shovels to fill their sandbags. Also, residents should make their own preparations at home to prepare for the tropical weather and clean their drains. The City of Thibodaux will continue to give updates on this upcoming storm as it develops throughout the coming days.

In observance of Labor Day, City of Thibodaux offices will close on Monday, September 2, 2024. The Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium will also be closed to walkers on the aforementioned day. Trash collection schedule will not be interrupted. Normal operating hours will resume on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
