In observance of Independence Day, City of Thibodaux offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2024, and Friday, July 5, 2024. The Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium will also be closed to walkers on the aforementioned days. Trash collection schedule will not be interrupted. Normal operating hours for City of Thibodaux offices will resume on Monday, July 8, 2024.

On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, the City of Thibodaux’s Public Works Department will be conducting a smoke test on the sewer lines within the red highlighted picture below. The smoke test will run in the morning. The smoke that will be coming out of the sewer lines will have a cherry fragrance that can potentially go into homes and is safe and non-toxic.

Starting today, Wednesday, June 26, 2024, there will be a lane shift on Canal Boulevard heading northbound. Traffic will continue to be restricted to one-lane traffic. Previously, traffic shifted to the outside lane near Pecan Street to flow through the construction area; however, now the outside lane is closed and traffic will flow in the inside lane.
Please use caution and follow the traffic lights as well as the signage when traveling through this area.
