Due to heavy wind conditions, the temporary stop signs at the intersection of Canal Boulevard and 5th Street have been removed in all directions. Chief Bryan Zeringue would like to remind motorist that per Louisiana Law, this intersection should still be treated as a four way stop.

In observance of the Christmas Holiday, City of Thibodaux offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, and Wednesday, December 25, 2024. Normal operations will resume on Thursday, December 26, 2024.
Also, in observance of the New Year Holiday, City of Thibodaux offices will be closed half a day on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, and all day on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Normal operations will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
The Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium will also be closed to walkers on the aforementioned days. Pelican Waste and Debris will not be operating on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, 2024, and New Year’s Day, Wednesday, January 1, 2025. All residents normally serviced on Wednesday will be recovered on their next service day.

On Thursday, December 26, 2024, and Friday, December 27, 2024, East 7th Street between Cardinal Drive and Bayou Lane will be closed to vehicular traffic. Onshore Construction and Entergy will be performing underground work to run power.
