City of Thibodaux - City Office Closure: Thanksgiving Holidays

In observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday, City of Thibodaux offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28, 2024, and Friday, November 29, 2024. The Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium will also be closed to walkers on the aforementioned days. Garbage will not be collected on Thanksgiving Day. All residents that have a Monday/Thursday pick-up schedule will have their service resumed on the following Monday. Pelican Waste and Debris will be back to their normal schedule on Friday, November 29, 2024. Normal office operating hours for the City will resume on Monday, December 2, 2024.

Today, Friday, November 22, 2024, the City of Thibodaux’s Public Works Department is on-site at the median located at the intersection of Canal Boulevard and West 6th Street. Canal Boulevard’s northbound and southbound inside lanes are closed to motorists while repairs are being performed. Motorists are urged to use caution in the area.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) and LA Contracting have completed the roundabout on Canal Boulevard. All lanes are open and the roundabout if fully functional. The City of Thibodaux would like to thank DOTD and LA Contracting for their dedication and hard work as well as the residents of Thibodaux for being patient during the roundabout construction. The City of Thibodaux will continue to publish educational flyers and videos to ensure the public understands the proper use of roundabouts.
