Currently, Monday, March 16, 2026, the City of Thibodaux’s Public Works Department is performing a sewer line repair on Cleveland Street. The road will be closed to through traffic while repairs are being made. This closure is anticipated to last only a day.

Currently, LA DOTD’s road construction job, located on LA 308 from the intersection of Percy Brown Road and LA 308 to the intersection of Canal Boulevard and LA 308, is still ongoing, and we urge residents and visitors to plan accordingly for traffic delays on both LA 308 and LA 1. The contractor that was hired by LA DOTD is in the process of patching parts of LA 308 and is anticipated to be completed early next week. Once those sections have had time to settle, the contractor will return to mill and overlay only on the areas that were previously patched. During working hours, this area of LA 308 is open to one lane of traffic, and there will be a flagger and Louisiana State Police on site directing traffic. The City of Thibodaux will continue to be in contact with LA DOTD and the contractor during the project and will inform the public of any changes.

Starting Monday, February 9, 2026, LA DOTD will start a road construction job on LA 308 from the intersection of Percy Brown Road and LA 308 to the intersection of Canal Boulevard and LA 308. The contractor will start by assessing and patching parts of LA 308. Then they will mill and overlay only on the areas they previously patched. The contractor was instructed not to work during peak time to avoid traffic issues. At this time, there are no anticipated road closures for this project, but there may be times when there is a flagger on location or intermittent lane closures. The City of Thibodaux will be in contact with DOTD and the contractor during the project and will inform the public of any changes.
