The City of Thibodaux just completed the seventeenth Unified Command Group (UCG) meeting where the Mayor made executive decisions regarding the City of Thibodaux. The City will have a mobile testing site on June 3, 2020, at Peltier Park. Based on the results for the employee temperature program with no positive COVID-19 tests in four weeks, the City will suspend the requirement to take employee temperatures each day. The City will take temperatures based on supervisor discretion for any employee exhibiting symptoms. The City will also suspend the requirements for employees to wear masks in City vehicles with more than one occupant. The City will enter phase 2 of the plan on June 8, 2020.
Here is the information about the City of Thibodaux Phase 2 plan:
City playgrounds, buildings, fields (not programs) will re-open using social distancing
Playground equipment will be cleaned once/week
City buildings will open with medical screening for members of the public with limited hours (8 a.m.-2 p.m.)
Business activity continues with drive-up/online/dropbox and physical activity requires medical screening for members of the public
All meetings transition to physical activity with social distancing
Employees must self-clean workspace once/week
All departments will regulate social distancing applied to the respective departments

The Good Earth Transit Bus System will begin operating their fixed-route service on weekend/holiday schedule seven days a week until further notice effective June 8, 2020. The City of Thibodaux will begin its first route from NSU at 8:06 a.m. and the last route will be at 4:06 p.m. A mask and sanitizing of hands are required in order to board a bus. Office hours will remain from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Any questions can be directed to 985-850-4616.

The City of Thibodaux has partnered with Ochsner Health Systems to provide a COVID-19 mobile testing site on June 3, 2020. The testing will be conducted at Peltier Park and will begin at 9:00 am. It is open to anyone with a Louisiana Drivers License. Testing will continue until 4:00 pm or until all 300 test kits have been utilized.
