Mayor Tommy Eschete wishes to remind our residents that the use of golf carts on City streets do have some restrictions. Only “street legal” units are allowed in areas where the speed limit 25 MPH or below.
In addition, all units are to be operated by licensed drivers only. Parents should not allow under-aged non- licensed children to operate the carts on public streets.
The Thibodaux Police Department will enforce these restrictions so as to provide a safe environment for all operators and passengers of motor vehicles traveling on our city streets.
For any additional information, please call the Thibodaux Police Department at (985) 446-5021 or the Mayor’s office at 985-446-7218. View MoreBoard of Adjustments Meeting Notice

The City has cycled all of the water towers, filled the reservoir, checked all of the generators, and is currently cleaning all of the catch basins. The City has a self-sandbagging location at the Public Works Barn, 1219 Henry S. Thibodaux St. Residents are reminded to refer to Getagameplan.org or the City website- Emergency Preparedness for the most accurate information.
Garbage collection will begin early on Wednesday and more information will be published for the pickup on Thursday as the storm develops in the next 24 hours.
