City Office Closure: Labor Day

In observance of Labor Day, City of Thibodaux offices will close on Monday, September 5, 2022. The Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium will also be closed to walkers on the aforementioned day. Trash collection schedule will not be interrupted. Normal operating hours will resume on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

Mayor Tommy Eschete has announced that the Tiger Drive Bridge will be temporarily CLOSED Wednesday, August 24, 2022, to conduct further testing relative to the damage found on the bridge. The bridge will be kept open until 9:00 AM Wednesday morning in order to accommodate the morning commute. It will remain closed until sometime Thursday evening upon completion of the testing. The bridge will then be re-opened for normal traffic until the permanent repair process begins. We are sorry for the inconvenience and recommend that motorists alter their travel plans while the closure is in effect.

Mayor Tommy Eschete has announced that due to damage caused to a piling on the Tiger Drive Bridge, the bridge will remain closed until further notice. A complete inspection and investigation into the structural integrity of the bridge has been scheduled to determine what repairs will be necessary and when we may be able to reopen the span. Please determine an alternate route when traveling in the area so as to avoid congestion and potential delays.
