On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, LA Contracting will begin the demolition of the old hotel that’s located at the corner of Canal Boulevard and Gerald T. Peltier Drive. Gerald T. Peltier Drive from President Street to Canal Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic until further notice due to the demolition and construction of the roundabout. Signage is posted in the area to assist motorists on detour routes.

West Plater Dr. will be closed to vehicular traffic until further notice. The City of Thibodaux’s Public Works Department will be replacing a drainage culvert.

Thursday, May 11, 2023, the City of Thibodaux’s Public Works Department will have a temporary water closure along Laura Drive and Rue Loudon area from approximately 7 AM to 8 AM in preparation for a scheduled water closure that is scheduled for Friday, May 12, 2023, from approximately 7 AM to 11 AM to tie in new water lines in the area.
