City of Thibodaux - Sewer Line Smoke Test

On Thursday, January 26, 2023, the City of Thibodaux’s Public Works Department will be conducting a smoke test on the sewer lines in the following areas: Tiger Drive, Mimosa Street, Arms Street, Poplar Street, Jefferson Street, Hickory Street, as well as other streets in that area if necessary. The smoke test will begin at approximately 8:30 AM and until noon. The smoke will have a cherry fragrance that can potentially go into homes and is safe and non-toxic.

Starting today, January 23, 2023, Byron E. Talbot will begin construction on the North Thibodaux Waterline Improvement project. The City of Thibodaux would like to inform residents that during this construction process road delays and detours can occur throughout North Thibodaux. The City of Thibodaux will continue to monitor the progress of this project and will inform residents accordingly to foreseeable closures.

In observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, City of Thibodaux offices will close on Monday, January 16, 2023. The Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium will also be closed to walkers on the aforementioned day. Trash collection schedule will not be interrupted. Normal operating hours will resume on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.
