City Office Closure: Memorial Day

In observance of Memorial Day, City of Thibodaux offices will close on Monday, May 29, 2023. The Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium will also be closed to walkers on the aforementioned day. Trash collection schedule will not be interrupted. Normal operating hours will resume on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, LA Contracting will begin the demolition of the old hotel that’s located at the corner of Canal Boulevard and Gerald T. Peltier Drive. Gerald T. Peltier Drive from President Street to Canal Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic until further notice due to the demolition and construction of the roundabout. Signage is posted in the area to assist motorists on detour routes.

West Plater Dr. will be closed to vehicular traffic until further notice. The City of Thibodaux’s Public Works Department will be replacing a drainage culvert.
