City Office Closure: Mardi Gras Holidays

In observance of Mardi Gras Holidays, City of Thibodaux offices will be closed on Monday, February 20, 2023, and Tuesday February 21, 2023. The Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium will also be closed to walkers on the aforementioned days. Trash collection service will not run on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Normal operating hours will resume on Wednesday, February 22, 2023.

On Monday, February 6, 2023, the City of Thibodaux’s Public Works Department will be replacing a fire hydrant that will affect the following areas: Alice Drive, Alice Court, and Erwin Drive. This will result in a temporary water closure from approximately 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

On Thursday, January 26, 2023, the City of Thibodaux’s Public Works Department will be conducting a smoke test on the sewer lines in the following areas: Tiger Drive, Mimosa Street, Arms Street, Poplar Street, Jefferson Street, Hickory Street, as well as other streets in that area if necessary. The smoke test will begin at approximately 8:30 AM and until noon. The smoke will have a cherry fragrance that can potentially go into homes and is safe and non-toxic.
