Jackson Street (LA HWY 20) Bridge was closed during the early morning hours due to icy conditions. Upon further assessment after sunrise, it has been determined that it will remain closed until further notice. An update will be sent out when the bridge is back open and safe for motorists.

From Thursday, January 18, 2024, through Sunday, January 21, 2024, the intersection of Hickory Street and Apricot Street as well as the intersection of Hickory Street and Parish Road will be closed to vehicular traffic while contractors continue to replace culverts in the area for the City’s ongoing drainage project.

The City of Thibodaux has CANCELLED the Technical Records Clerk written test scheduled for Tuesday, January 16, 2024, due to the Winter Storm forecasted by the Weather Services. The Technical Records Clerk written test has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Recreation Building at Peltier Park for applicants who have previously applied. The Civil Service Department will send emails to all applicants who qualified to test for the position notifying them of the cancellation and rescheduling.
