The City of Thibodaux’s Department of Housing and Community Development announces that it is currently issuing Free Bus Vouchers to Low-Moderate Income Residents. All interested individuals must provide picture ID, proof of residency and proof of income of all household members. Eligible residents can receive 3 free, all day bus passes each week. In observance of Independence Day, City of Thibodaux offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2024, and Friday, July 5, 2024. The Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium will also be closed to walkers on the aforementioned days. Trash collection schedule will not be interrupted. Normal operating hours for City of Thibodaux offices will resume on Monday, July 8, 2024.

On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, the City of Thibodaux’s Public Works Department will be conducting a smoke test on the sewer lines within the red highlighted picture below. The smoke test will run in the morning. The smoke that will be coming out of the sewer lines will have a cherry fragrance that can potentially go into homes and is safe and non-toxic.
