City of Thibodaux - Mosquito Spraying

The City of Thibodaux has allocated additional funding for the spraying of mosquitos within the City limits due to the unusual amount this time of year. Yesterday, February 15, 2024, mosquito trucks sprayed Zone 35. Spraying is dependent upon the weather and cannot take place during rain events or if the temperature is below 50 degrees due to EPA regulations. The remaining zones (Zones 33, 34, and 36) will be sprayed early next week.

Hickory Street is now back open; however, the intersection of Hickory Street and Cedar Street will remain closed throughout the night.

Currently, there is a road closure on Hickory Street between Ash Street and Apricot Street due to a broken water line. City of Thibodaux Public Works Department is on scene performing repairs. We will inform the public when the area is back open.
