There is currently no boil water advisory for the City of Thibodaux. While some water districts in the region are under boil advisories, those residents that receive a bill from the City of Thibodaux for water do not need to boil their water.

The City of Thibodaux has been diligently working with Entergy on the restoration of power. It has been one of the City’s key priorities since the passing of the storm. Today Entergy was able to provide power to some city infrastructure sites. The primary site is the city water plant. Our city water plant has continued to provide fresh water to our residents and the thousands of contractors located in town since the beginning of this storm. The next priorities for the city are the hospital and the two city sewer plants. Simultaneously the City of Thibodaux will work with Entergy to power residents, businesses and organizations as soon as safely possible.

The City of Thibodaux urges residents to check references and ensure the contractor is licensed, bonded, and insured before hiring for Hurricane Ida repairs. Citizens who use an unlicensed contractor do so at their own risk of liability, no warranty, and no recourse for substandard work. It is the responsibility of any and all contractors to remove the debris associated with their work.
