Mayor Tommy Eschete has been advised by Kevin Clement, our Parks & Recreation Director, that a new soccer-themed playground has been installed and is ready for children to enjoy at the Eric Andolsek Memorial Park. This park, located at 1200 North Canal Boulevard, facilitates our local youth soccer programs which are facilitated by the Thibodaux Soccer Association. The new equipment will enhance the park experience and provide a new activity for our young visitors. This will certainly accomplish the City’s goals to make all of our recreational infrastructure extremely family-friendly.

The City of Thibodaux has been awarded a NEW housing voucher program called the Mainstream Voucher Program. This program is being funded by HUD through the CARES ACT.
In order to qualify the household must:
Include a non-elderly person with a disability
(A person over the age of 18 but under the age of 62)
ONLY those who meet the above criteria will be allowed to apply. The number of calls taken will be determined based on the number of available vouchers at the time of intake, which will be announced on our website the week of applications. At a minimum 10 calls will be taken.
In order to ensure everyone’s safety in light of possible COVID-19 restrictions, a call-in procedure ONLY will be utilized. APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AS FOLLOWS:
