Congressman Garret Graves invited constituents to the first-ever “Picture the Parish” competition for Louisiana’s Sixth Congressional Districts. Constituents were asked to capture black and white photos of specific parishes, showcasing the culture, people, music, flavors, and overall essence of the area. The winners’ artwork will be displayed at the U.S. Capitol and Congressman Graves’ District Offices throughout the 117th Congress.
Gibbs Robichaux, a Thibodaux
resident, was selected as the winner of the contest and presented his artwork
to City of Thibodaux’s Mayor Tommy Eschete, Congressman Garret Graves, and
Lafourche Parish President Archie Chiasson III. Not only will Mr. Gibbens’ art
work be displayed at the U.S. Capitol and Congressman Graves’ district offices,
but it will also be displayed at Thibodaux City Hall and the Lafourche Parish
office.
