Due to the extreme winter weather, Pelican Waste & Debris has made the decision to suspend services for tomorrow Tuesday, February 16, 2021. Updates will be given if services need to be further suspended due to weather conditions.

The City of Thibodaux will mirror the curfew set forth by Lafourche Parish President Archie Chaisson. The curfew will be in effect from Monday, February 15, 2021, at 8:00 PM until Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at 8:00 AM.

The City of Thibodaux started tracking the weather on Thursday, February 11, 2021, and continues to be involved in all responses at the state and parish levels. In anticipation of freezing temperatures and the possibility of sleet and snow, all City offices will close on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. In addition, bridges will be de-iced/sanded starting on Monday, February 15, 2021, extending to Wednesday morning. Residents are reminded to slow down and use caution while driving in icy conditions. The City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 16, 2021, is postponed to Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 5:00 pm.
