The City of Thibodaux has been awarded a NEW housing voucher program called the Mainstream Voucher Program. This program is being funded by HUD through the CARES ACT. The City has approximately 30 available vouchers to administer. In order to qualify the household must:
Include a non-elderly person with a disability (A person over the age of 18 but under the age of 62) ONLY those who meet the above criteria will be allowed to apply. Only 30 applications will be accepted.
In order to ensure everyone’s safety in light of possible COVID-19 restrictions, a call-in procedure ONLY will be utilized. APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AS FOLLOWS:

TIME: 8:00 AM - until 30 applications are taken

Governor John Bel Edwards referenced the LDH Pharmacy list in his press conference last week and spoke of how individuals over the age of 70 could schedule an appointment to receive the COVID vaccine at one of these pharmacies starting this week. Please reference the phase listing below on when vaccines will be rolled out accordingly as well as the pharmacy listing.
COVID Vaccine Phases:
Phase One (ONGOING) - High-risk population, current positive tests, congregate settings (nursing homes), health care workers, first responders
Phase Two (Begins February 2021) - K-12 teachers and staff, child care workers, high-risk population with scheduled comorbidity medical procedures, additional congregate settings
Phase Three (Begins March 2021) - Children, young adults, critical infrastructure workers
Phase Four (May 2021) - COVID negatives of the general population as a preventative measure

Currently, the City of Thibodaux is responding to a water line leak on Ridgefield Road between St. Mary Street and West 8th Street. The northbound lane of Ridgefield Road will be blocked completely for repairs to be made. The repairs will take place from approximately 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
