City of Thibodaux - Boil Water Advisory

The City of Thibodaux’s Public Works Department is aware of the water leak located at the southeast corner of Percy Brown Road & Acadia Woods Drive. The City’s Public Works Department has accessed the leak and is making preparations to repair it as soon as possible. In the meantime, residents will continue to see a small amount of water consistently protruding from the ground in the front yard of the Acadia Fire Station.

Public Works has been tirelessly working since early morning hours and has narrowed down the affected customers to strictly the Acadia Woods and Acadia Plantation Subdivision. These residents will still experience low water pressure until the repair is completed.

A boil water advisory IS in effect for all city-limit residents and businesses located east of Bowie Road until further notice. This includes Acadia Point Subdivision, Acadia Plantation Subdivision, Acadia Woods Subdivision, Acadia Villa Apartments, Thibodaux Regional Wellness Center, and all other surrounding businesses located east of Bowie Road and the North/South Acadia intersection. Nicholls State University and Thibodaux Regional Hospital are NOT included in the boil water advisory.

On Saturday, June 22, 2024, the Thibodaux Municipal Pool and Splash Pad will be closed to the public. The Thibodaux Tiger Shark Swim Team will host their largest swim meet of the year.

City of Thibodaux - Road Closure: St. Patrick Street

On Friday, June 14, 2024, St. Patrick Street from LA 20 to Forty Arpent Road and Glenwild Drive will be closed from approximately 7 AM to 5 PM for a contractor to perform patchwork on the road. During patching operations of the southbound lane of LA 20, southbound traffic will be shifted to the current northbound acceleration lane and then cross back into the normal lane at the intersection of St. Patrick Street. For safety reasons, St. Patrick Street will be closed to northbound traffic starting at the intersection of Glenwild Drive and Forty Arpent Road. DOTD will leave access to the 3 businesses within the closure area.
