As we approach the evening hours of assessment and remediation post Hurricane Francine, Mayor Kevin Clement and Chief Bryan Zeringue have enacted a curfew for City of Thibodaux - Municipal Government. This curfew will only apply to the Thibodaux City Limits. The curfew will go into effect tonight, Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 10:00 P.M. and be lifted Friday, September 13, 2024 at 6:00 A.M. This curfew does include Nicholls State University Campus.
Mayor Clement and Chief Zeringue would like our community partners to know that Entergy Louisiana has been out assessing and working to restore power all day. Although the Lineman have been working tirelessly, there is still no sure power thus far inside the Thibodaux City Limits. This curfew is a direct attempt to protect the life and property of all City of Thibodaux residents.
Everyone in the City of Thibodaux should remain off the roadway during curfew hours. Thibodaux Police Department Officers are strictly enforcing the curfew, and essential personnel should be carrying their ID or placard.
