The City of Thibodaux would like to ask everyone to
shelter in place and stay off the roads. The time to evacuate has
passed. A curfew remains in effect until further notice and it exists for
the safety of everyone in the area. First Responders will not be
responding to calls as it is not safe to be outside. The outer and mid
bands are making landfall now. These next 12 hours will bring substantial
winds with the worst between 5-9 PM. The City of Thibodaux is currently in
the active phase of this storm and expects primarily a wind event.
Residents can expect downed power lines and are reminded to stay away from them
for their own safety.
