The City of Thibodaux’s Department of Housing and Community Development department is excited to announce a partnership
with Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux to provide assistance
to individuals affected by COVID-19. Anyone who experienced financial
hardship due to COVID can apply at https://www.htdiocese.org/individual-and-family-assistance. Applicants must reside in the City Limits
of Thibodaux and complete an application process. Applicants must be able
to provide an ID, proof of income, proof of residency, information on everyone
in the household, and a copy of utility bills, a lease, or mortgage bill.
The funding for these programs was received as a part of the CARES ACT from the
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), under the Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG), and has been allocated to assist with utility
assistance, rental assistance, and mortgage assistance.
