Public Works
The Department of Public Works provides numerous services to the community, primarily through the construction and maintenance of the infrastructure of the City. The Department is responsible for Streets, Drainage, Natural Gas Distribution, Water Production and Distribution, Sewage Collection and Disposal, Street lighting, Building Permits and Inspection, Airport Maintenance, and Coordination of the Planning and Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustments and the Historic District Commission.
Please note that the Public Works Department is now accepting Visa or MasterCard credit card payments for permit fees in addition to checks and money orders.
