The Thibodaux Main Street program would like to introduce its newest board members: Michael Matherne, Judy Daniels, Lisa Thibodaux and Brian Grubbs The Board currently consists of: Joyce Benoit (Chairman), Bonnie Lafont (Vice Chairman), Joanne Ferriot (Secretary), Jo Broussard (Treasurer), Robert Naquin, Kathy Terracina, and Malcolm Hodnett. The goals of the Thibodaux Main Street program are to preserve historic buildings, strengthen existing businesses, create a positive image, build partnerships, encourage new businesses, promote cultural heritage, generate new jobs and improve the downtown appearance.

Increased patrol in the Downtown area Thibodaux Police Chief Howard P. Robertson again wishes toannounce to the general public that the Police Department is making increasedpatrols in the downtown areas of the city using non-uniformed officers.These increased patrols are being made during the evening hours ofcertain days of the week.These patrols are being made to deter the slight increase invarious misdemeanor crimes that have recently been occurring in the downtownarea.

The City of Thibodaux will hold the Bicycle and Pedestrian Path 2004 Dedication and Blessing on Tuesday, May 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thibodaux Chamber of Commerce office, 318 East Bayou Road. The blessing will be by Bishop Sam G. Jacobs of the diocese of Houma-Thibodaux.
The dedication of the Adley Landry Water Reservoir will be held on Tuesday, June 1 at 6:00 p.m. at the water reservoir next to the Thibodaux Civic Center (North Canal Boulevard). In memory of Councilman Adley Landry
