The Thibodaux Garden Club along with the City of Thibodaux, Mayor Charles Caillouet and his administrative staff participated in the 2003 District III Cleanest City Contest on Monday, March 24. Judges from the State Garden Club Federation were on hand for the judging. Thibodaux Garden Club President, Ms. Martha Newchurch and members of the Garden Club were present to greet the state judges at an open ceremony in front of City Hall. Eddie Hebert, member of the garden club, conducted a tour of the city. Hebert said, “Our city was beautiful and I was proud to brag on it! All of the members of the Garden Club, City Officials, Chamber of Commerce, citizens and volunteers did an excellent job.”Morgan City is also competing for the District III title.The results of the contest should be in within the week.

Art’s Alive Downtown with Jubilee…The Thibodaux Main Street Promotions Committee along with Nicholls Jubilee and the Lorio Foundation invites everyone to come downtown and meet the artists and authors during their exhibition on Thursday, April 10 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on West 3rd Street, between St. Louis Street and St. Philip Street.Music and refreshments will be served.

§Ken Gonsoulin, a former winner of the international Cajun joke telling competition, has been doing Cajun comedy for more than 10 years.
§Magic Mike, an accomplished magician who mixes humor and illusion in a show that will keep you laughing and mystified.
§The music of: Bag of Donuts, one of south Louisiana's favorite party bands.
