Community Clean up Day/ Cleanest City Contest
This Saturday, April 13th the City of Thibodaux is searching for volunteers! In preparation for the Cleanest City Contest, to be held on April 17th, the City will be signing up individuals and volunteer groups, handing out trash bags and giving specific areas to clean up. All this effort is directly geared toward one last community effort to get the city prepared for the annual Cleanest City Contest, sponsored by the Thibodaux Garden Club.
The City has been working very hard in trying to get those necessary details completed prior to Wednesday, April 17th. Painting curbs, cutting grass, weeding, picking up litter and gravel and cleaning catch basins are just a few of the ways the City participates in this contest. “We hope that all citizens show their support of the City by doing their part, by volunteering on Saturday or by getting your home ready. The City of Thibodaux has a lot of pride and this is one way to show it”, stated Mayor Charles Caillouet.
For more information or to sign up as a volunteer please contact Cindy Griffin @ 493-8757.
