We had an incredible turn out for the 2016 Senior Citizen's Mardi Gras Ball held on February 3, 2016! This year has been our largest crowd. Highway 315 band performed during the event. Our king and Queen (which is randomly selected through a drawing) is Mr. Russell Fontenot and Ms. Mabel Panvelle.
TREC-UP Mardi Gras Ball was a great event, just as years past. Our participants enjoyed music, dancing, and king cake. A king, queen, and court was randomly selected. Everyone had lots of fun! We are now planning an Easter Egg Hunt for our friends from TREC-UP!
The Youth Girls Volleyball has an incredible 26 teams with approximately 209 girls and 52 volunteer coaches! Clinics will be held in February and the Nicholls State University Volleyball team members will assist in teaching the participants fundamentals and techniques. We look forward to a very fun and successful season this upcoming March and April!
The Youth Basketball League is geared to older boys, ages 13-17. The program has 7 teams, 60 participants and 7 volunteer coaches. Games will be held inside the Warren J Harang Municipal Auditorium. The season runs March - April.
