GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATULATIONS: The City of Thibodaux would like to wish Captain Jerry D. Wyeth good luck on his retirement. Captain Wyeth has been employed with the City of Thibodaux for 15 years. He began his journey with the Thibodaux Police Department as a Police Officer in 1988. He is retiring as Commander of the Technical Services Bureau of the Police Department. Howard Robertson, Chief of Police stated, "His service and dedication to this Department has been one that many of us will miss. He has truly been an asset, and we all wish him good luck in the future."

Mayor Charles Caillouet stated, "It was wonderful to see the support shown towards our Main Street program and to our Parish President. The turnout was great and the event was a success!"

Thibodaux High School Band will be hosting the 2004 Bayouland Spectacular on Saturday, February 7, 2004 beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the THS Gym. This event is a winterguard (flags) and winterpercussion (drums) competition sponsored by the Gulf Coast Color Guard and Percussion Circuit. There will be 8 percussion and 25 color guard units participating.

"The Bud Light Humps and Horns PBR and Team Challenge" On Thursday, January 22, the City of Thibodaux held a press conference at Last Call to announce a major professional event soon to come at the Civic Center. Curtis Hue, Civic Center director announced that Professional Bull Riding would be held at the Civic Center in March. James Pierce of "Why be Normal Productions" was introduced and stated that Thibodaux is the only area that will host Professional Bull Riding (PBR). Ticket information and exact dates soon to come!
