Terry Thibodaux

Congratulations to Police Department Mechanic Terry Thibodaux for being chosen as the September City of Thibodaux Employee of the Month.

“ET”, as his friends affectionately call him, was born and raised in the City of Thibodaux.  He is one of nine children, and has a twin sister.  He served two tours in Viet Nam, defending his country.  He retired from the U. S. Army after twenty years of service and returned to his hometown of Thibodaux, to serve the public once again.

LIONS CLUB DEDICATION
:
On Thursday, August 28, the Thibodaux Lions Club held a dedication for the donated handicap accessible water fountains at the Thibodaux Civic Center.  The fountains were part of a project, which involved bringing the Civic Center up to ADA standards. 

BAYOU LAFOURCHE ANTIQUES SHOW & SALE
The Thibodaux Civic Center will host the Bayou Lafourche Antiques Show on Friday, September 5 and Saturday, September 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday, September 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The event is sponsored by TaWaSi and the proceeds raised are donated to various non-profit groups/schools in the community.  Tickets are only $5 per person and are good for the whole weekend.  Also, a beautiful pearl ring and a lovely table will be raffled for $1 per ticket or 6 for $5.00.

This is the 29th year of the antique show and there will be about 45 dealers from all over the U.S.  IT WILL BE A GREAT SHOW - DON'T MISS IT!

THIBODAUX AREA  HABITAT FOR HUMANITY:
Thibodaux Area Habitat for Humanity will be having an Application Meeting on Wednesday, November 12, 2003 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Luke Community Center located at 300 East 11th Street in Thibodaux.  An application packet can be picked up at the Habitat Home Store located at 800 Jackson Street on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Only completed applications will be accepted at the meeting.
