Robbery at Convenience Store

 

The Thibodaux Police Department reports a robbery thatoccurred at a convenience store located at Canal Boulevard and Plantation Road. This robbery was reported to the Police Department at 3:16 P.M. thisafternoon.   

A black male subject described as approximately 6 feet and400 plus pounds entered the store and collected a newspaper and a soft drink andwalked to the counter as though to make the purchase of these items. When the clerk opened the register, the suspect reached over the counterand took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash drawer. The suspect exited the store through the front door and entered thedrivers side of a black “Nissan” Sentra automobile bearing a temporarylicense tag in the rear window.  Thevehicle left the scene westbound on Plantation Road. 

Detectives arrived on the scene and secured a video of theincident as well as a collection of evidence left at the scene by the suspect. This video shows the suspect at the counter and as he exits the store. Still photographs were developed from the video and are being shown toarea law enforcement agencies in attempts to identify the suspect.
