NARCOTIC DETECTIVES MAKE DRUG ARREST

During the evening hours of January 30, 2003 Detectives of the Thibodaux Police Department Bureau of Narcotics were in the downtown area of Thibodaux when they saw a dark colored pickup truck driving in a reckless manor.  Detectives then initiated a traffic stop where they then met with the driver who was identified as Kaylen Paul Adams Age 20 of 103 Farmer Lane in Thibodaux, LA.

During the course of the traffic stop, detectives were able to locate four small bags.  In three of the bags, detectives located twenty-four doses of suspected ecstasy pills and the fourth small bag contained suspected marijuana.  Total street value of all suspected illegal narcotics is over $900.00 .

Mr. Adams was then arrested and brought to Thibodaux Police Department where he was booked on the charges of Stop Sign Violation, Excessive Display of Acceleration, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Ecstasy.

Mr. Adams was then given a bond set in the amount of $100,000.00 and transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center.
