On the afternoon of January 22, 2003 officers of the Thibodaux Police Department responded to the North Thibodaux area in reference to a burglary.
Upon arrival, a witness stated that he saw a subject enter a residence and moments later, exit with a rod and reel, later valued at $150.00. The witness then told officers that the suspect threw the rod and reel down when told to do so by the witness. The suspect then ran away.
Officers were later able to track the suspect, then determined to be a young teenager, to his home several blocks away.
The officers then arrested and booked the juvenile with Simple Burglary and Resisting An Officer. The juvenile was then placed into the Juvenile Justice Center.
