SUSPECTS BOOKED FOR AUTO BURGLARIES
On November 11, 2002 the Thibodaux Police Department responded to eight complaints of vehicle burglary in the area of 1300 Ridgefield Avenue. (Thibodaux Apartments). Responding officers observed that the windows on eight vehicles had been smashed to gain access into the vehicles. Items missing from the vehicles were mostly audio equipment such as radios, amplifier and speakers with a combined estimated value of $3,221.00. Witnesses observed several young black males dressed in black clothing in the area, reportedly trying to limb the newly erected security fence around the apartment complex.
On November 12, 2002 while conducting an interview with Lorenzo Daggs in reference to an unrelated theft, information was obtained implicating Daggs in the eight vehicle burglaries. Information obtaind from Daggs during the interview provided the investigator with the names of two others involved in the burglaries.
On Noveber 19, 2002, Lorenzo Daggs, Leon Johnlouis and Tommy Lee Johnson were arrested and booked on the charges of eight counts of simple burglary. All three were booked into Lafourche Parish Detention Center with a bond set at $10,000.00 each.
