OnTuesday night (03-12-02) at approximately 8:40p.m., the Thibodaux PoliceDepartmentís Narcotics Officers arrested Troy Frazier,19, of Thibodaux andcharged him with one count of Distribution of Marijuana and two counts ofContributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile. The arrest came after Frazierreportedly sold suspected marijuana to an undercover police officer earlier thatnight in the 800 block of Church St.. During the sale of the suspectedmarijuana, Frazier allegedly conducted the transaction in the presence of twoteenage juveniles. Frazier was also booked on an outstanding warrant for SimpleBattery. The juveniles were released. Frazier was transported to the LafourcheParish Detention Center where his bond was set at $7,500.00.
Laterthat night, Narcotics Officers made a separate drug arrest of Devin White, 17,also of Thibodaux, charging him with one count each of Possession of Cocaine andPossession of Tobacco under 18.
NarcoticOfficers reportedly observed White standing outside of a local bar with a cigarin his possession. The Officers reportedly knew that White was under the legalage to possess the tobacco product and subsequently placed him under arrest. During a pat down conducted on White, the Officers reportedly discovereda small bag of suspected cocaine in his possession. The suspected cocaineweighed approximately .2 grams with a street value of $40.00. White was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center where hisbond was set as $5,000.00.
