ORDINANCE NO. ______

 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND RE-ENACT SECTION 14-10 OF THE THIBODAUX CITY CODE OF ORDINANCES (CITY PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS) 

         BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Thibodaux in regular
session assembled, that Section 14-10 of the Thibodaux City Code of Ordinances is hereby amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

 Sec. 14-10. Park and Recreational Facilities Rules and Regulations

 The following activities are prohibited in all City parks and/or recreational facilities in order to protect the safety and welfare of citizens utilizing those facilities: 

  1. The possession of beverages in glass containers and the consumption of said beverages in glass containers and the possession of empty glass beverage containers.

  2. The intentional damage of any City property or equipment.

  3. The sale of any alcoholic beverages without the proper permit.

  4. The use of motorized vehicles off public streets.

  5. The use of skates, skateboards, scooters or bicycles in posted areas.

  6. Littering of any grounds, ponds or waterways.

  7. Walking any animals which are not leashed.

  8. Swimming and fishing prohibited in posted areas.

  9. Use of any facility before or after posted hours of operation.

Anyone found guilty of violating any provision of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and punished by fine of not more than two hundred dollars ($200.00).  

          The above ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:

          YEAS:

          NAYS:

          ABSTAINED:

          ABSENT:

          And the above ordinance was declared adopted this ________ day of _________________, 2003.
