Expect Partial Closures as City Wide Road Improvement Project Continues to Take Shape
A number of City streets and roads are continuing to be worked on as part of the Cityís Road Improvement Project.
Work on East 7th Street is slated to begin Monday, Oct. 16, according to the Cityís Department of Public Works. Beginning Monday, a portion of roadway and its intersection with President Street will be closed. Local traffic will be allowed through, up to the intersection itself. While this section is planned to be closed for 10 to 12 days to allow the new concrete to cure properly, the following week (Monday, Oct. 23) will see East 7th to its intersection with St Charles Street falling under the same scenario as East 7th and President.
Thus far, Isabelle Place, West 10th, and Harrison, have also had work done to them with brief intermittent closures being necessitated to provide for completion of these roads.
The City wants to thank everyone for its patience and understanding, while these worthwhile improvements are being made to City streets and roads.
