City of Thibodaux
Employee of the Month
After Hurricane Katrina the electricity was out in the Civic Center, therefore, we had no phone service. The arena floor was covered with water, so the basketball floor had to be removed. Under the basketball floor was a black mat sooped up with water and not smelling that great. Marilyn was working with us men, just like she belonged there. She could have stayed in the office, but she worked with us to remove the flooring as long as flooring was still there. The temperature was very close to 100* with no ventilation.
